Former Highmark CEO, Ken Melani, is no longer facing assault charges following a fistfight he got into back in March.
The KDKA Investigators have learned that charges against former Highmark CEO Dr. Ken Melani will be dropped as part of a plea deal made between all parties involved.
For the first time, we’re hearing from a woman who says she witnessed part of the confrontation that lead to charges against former Highmark CEO Ken Melani.
Dr. Kenneth Melani was fired from Highmark following an alleged dispute over another man’s wife. According to a statement from the Board of Directors, Dr. Melani was terminated at president and CEO after a meeting Sunday morning.
Dr. Kenneth Melani has been with Highmark for 23 years, rising to the top position nine years ago. Now he faces intense legal scrutiny and not just for the charges against him.
The Highmark Board of Directors has named Board Chairman, Dr. J. Robert Baum, Highmark’s interim CEO.
