Resigned Pittsburgh Police Officer Michael Johns was back in court Friday after the District Attorney’s Office re-filed charges against him almost a year later.
Charges of promoting prostitution were withdrawn against a former Pittsburgh police officer in court this morning. Michael Johns is now faces charges of insurance fraud, filing a false police report and drug possession.
Michael Johns, a veteran of 17 years with the Pittsburgh Police Department, resigned today. “I resigned today because I have a lot of charges against me and I want to spend my time and attention to defend myself,” he told KDKA-TV.
