Even a gloomy Friday isn’t enough to dampen the high spirits of the Strip District. Whether local or tourist, this is the destination for a Primanti Bros. sandwich or a chat at the Penn-Mac cheese counter. But Strip patrons leaving valuables in parked vehicles are tempting fate.
You can find all sorts of stuff, from food to jewelry, at the Pittsburgh Public Market in the Strip District. A new booth opened for business today and it’s set up to be a mini general store, featuring local products.
The Strip District, already a popular destination, could get another resurgence if land along the Allegheny River between 17th and 21st Streets becomes a 750-unit apartment complex, as proposed by the Buncher Company.
