A young mother diagnosed with cancer has found a way to give back, by raising $6,000 to donate to a foundation that is helping to keep her alive.
Hayley Roberts was only 16 when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. “I was a junior in high school, started gaining a lot of weight, particularly in my abdomen, but I wasn’t gaining weight anywhere else. And my abdominal region was very firm,” she describes.
Hope. That’s what local doctors are giving to some women diagnosed with a deadly cancer. Moments with her family are what 49-year-old Liz Thomasson cherishes most. Especially since just a couple of years ago she was fighting for her life.
