Pittsburgh Festival of Firsts
The giant duck swam away from Point State Park Monday morning. In its time here, the duck drew people from all over as more than a million visitors came to see it.
It seems like just yesterday that the giant yellow rubber duck came floating into Downtown Pittsburgh. However, Sunday was the last day it would be docked at Point State Park.
Sadly, it seems we are heading into the final days to see Pittsburgh’s giant rubber duck.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have been drawing huge crowds on the North Shore all season, but there’s something else that’s still attracting large numbers.
On Friday afternoon, it happened. The first sighting of the giant Rubber Duck for the folks waiting at The Point.
Up until now, all we’ve been able to show you are shots of a 54-foot duck, which visited the harbor in Hong Kong. The one that’s docking here is just a bit smaller.
Pittsburgh is about to get a visit from a 40-foot-tall rubber duck. The duck will sail to the Clemente Bridge for a Friday night party, kicking off the Pittsburgh Festival of Firsts, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
