For the second year in a row, fireworks lit up the sky over Hartwood Acres in Hampton Township for Pyrofest.
The sky over Hartwood Acres will burst with color, sound and music Saturday afternoon and evening as Pyrotecnico presents what it calls America’s largest fireworks festival.

The first-ever fireworks festival here in the Pittsburgh area kicks off Monday, and close to $400,000 worth of fireworks will light up the sky over Hartwood Acres on Memorial Day.
A test run Wednesday night went off without a hitch for the big fireworks festival planned for Saturday at Hartwood Acres. It’s called Pyrofest and is billed as being America’s Largest Fireworks Festival.

Police are investigating after a group of people got too close to the fireworks set up for tonight’s big display in downtown Pittsburgh.
