The state health department wants a thorough review after a patient’s gun fired as he was being treated in the emergency room at a central Pennsylvania hospital.
Deputy Pittsburgh Police Chief Paul Donaldson sent out a memo Thursday telling officers that the department would conduct a study on the “reliability and suitability” of city-issued ammunition used by officers in their service revolvers.
