There’s some good news for drivers in Washington County today following the closure of a road due to a landslide last month.
A road that was closed due to a landslide in Washington County earlier this month, is set to reopen this week.
Several roads around the area continue to be impacted by the weather-related landslides that happened earlier this week.
Efforts to clear away the mess of yet another landslide got underway overnight, this time in Indiana Township. The land started to give way around 11 p.m. Wednesday and has closed the intersection near Lefever Hill Road and Rich Hill Road.
Work to remove boulders from Route 88 in Washington County will begin soon. According to PennDOT, the Joseph B. Fay Company has started to move equipment to the rockslide in East Bethlehem Township.
