Spring time is great for kids on the school playground, but not always good for taxpayers as many school districts look for ways to raise property taxes for the coming 2012-2013 school year.
A law passed in 2008 requires all employers in 2012 to withhold the local municipal and school earned income taxes that many workers now pay on their own.
Besides his budget, Gov. Corbett signed another bill that will limit the power of local school boards to raise property taxes without a public referendum.
