Winter weather is not just tough on our cars, roads and pipes, it can also take a toll on our bodies and minds.
It happens every year around this time. Cabin fever sets in and people seem to be a little edgier. With the seemingly constant cold temperatures and snow this winter people’s moods seem worse than usual.
Psychiatrist Dr. Patton Van Nickell with Allegheny General Hospital joined KDKA Radio’s Larry Richert and John Shumway to identify if you just have the winter blues or something more and how to deal with it.
Seasonal Affective Disorder, SAD, is also known as with winter blues, or even summer depression. But have no fear there are some techniques that can help you muddle through the sadness.
