Venture Outdoors, a Pittsburgh based non-profit organization, boasts one simple goal: Get more people involved in outdoor activities. Hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing and cross-country skiing are only a partial list of the activities included in the more than 500 programs Venture Outdoors oversees annually. Its shining star, however, is the annual Venture Outdoors Festival at Point State Park. In its 12th year, the festival is the perfect springboard for families, couples and individuals interested in outdoor recreation lovers. From weekend warriors to families with young children, the event promises entertainment for every member of the family.
