The time is right to get on some wheels and skate on over to an indoor or outdoor skate park, and the Pittsburgh region has fabulous facilities for all ability levels. There is no need to worry about standing out as a neophyte, as there are lessons available or dedicated skateboarders will help with any insecurities. Be sure to check with the rules of the skate park and the equipment needed for all safety concerns. Check out the stores for skateboards, accessories, posters, magazines and questions about any applicable rates. It may not be the actual X-Games or Extreme Sports genre, but it is a chance to express creativity with heaps of fun and exercise through a host of twists , turns, jumps and elevation changes.
