St. Patrick’s Day Parade
A local man is under arrest, accused of a terror plot targeting one of Pittsburgh’s biggest celebrations — the St. Patrick’s Day parade. According to police, the man made detailed plans to shoot at the large crowds gathered in downtown Pittsburgh.
Thousands put on their green and flocked to Downtown Pittsburgh Saturday to take in what’s billed as one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in the country.
It’s billed as one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the country with close to 200,000 people expected. NCAA tournament basketball play is under way at CONSOL. It means even more people in town and more traffic.
St. Patrick’s Day is Saturday and nearly 250,000 people could be coming to downtown Pittsburgh for the annual parade.
