Environmental Groups File Federal Lawsuit Over Drilling Wastewater

Is Marcellus Shale wastewater still finding its way into our rivers and streams? The state has asked water treatment plants to stop taking the wastewater, but environmental groups went to court Tuesday to make sure.

Expert: Abandoned Mine Drainage Threatens State’s Waterways

State workers tapped into an underground lake of abandoned mine water, letting loose hundreds of thousands of gallons of acid mine drainage — a largely unknown and usually unseen threat to our rivers and streams.
