PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — The Pirates on Thursday traded right-handed relief pitcher Vic Black as the player to be named to the New York Mets to complete Tuesday’s trade in which Pittsburgh acquired outfielder Marlon Byrd and catcher John Buck.
The Pirates have recalled right-handed relief pitcher Jared Hughes from his rehab assignment in Triple-A Indianapolis and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list, the team announced Friday afternoon.
