FBI agents removed boxes of documents from the Pittsburgh police headquarters Tuesday afternoon.
Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper is expected to return to work today, even as a federal grand jury is investigating him for possible corruption.
Despite media reports, Pittsburgh Police officials say Chief Nate Harper is not on a leave of absence. The fact that he hasn’t been in the office this week, and is being investigated by a federal grand jury, has been fueling speculation.
The KDKA Investigators have confirmed that a federal grand jury is investigating Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper’s role in the awarding of a contract to a security company that may or may not have been qualified to receive that contract.
This year, the housing authority’s paying more than a million dollars to the Victory Security firm to help the Pittsburgh police patrol this and other communities. But a former Victory supervisor says the authority isn’t getting what it’s paying for.
