Low temperatures and bitter-cold wind chills have swept in across the region today. Despite some sunshine, the high will reach just 14 degrees this afternoon with sub-zero wind chills all day.
It’s some of the coldest weather of the year so far, but that didn’t stop some Pittsburghers from braving the elements on a busy Saturday evening. With wind chills at times below zero, people bundled up against the cold and howling wind.
The mild temperatures have moved out and it’s looking like a blustery, cold weekend with some snow across the area. KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman says much of the day will be quiet with overcast skies and a high of 34 degrees.
A blustery day is in the forecast as winter weather makes its return to the Pittsburgh area.
Cooler temperatures have moved into the area today and some places are seeing snow this morning, but the good news is that warmer weather is expected this weekend.
