Pittsburgh is known for its happening food scene and abundance of restaurants and bars that will please the palate of even the most particular diner. The four establishments below were chosen because of their recent appearance in the City of Bridges and their fantastic spirit selections.

Hundred Wood
100 Wood St.
Pittsburgh, PA 15222
(412) 471-5851

Occupying the old Osteria 100 building, Hundred Wood is a beautifully designed concept restaurant and bar that will leave the former restaurant's patrons satisfied. A great beer selection on tap only touches on the establishment's impeccable spirit selection. Choose from hundreds of drink combinations, and pair your beverage with a delicious pub pretzel, French dip sandwich or just about anything else for less than $10. This is a great scene for those who don't want the hipster vibe of Market Square to spoil their appetite.

Ten Penny
960 Penn Ave.
Pittsburgh, PA 15222
(412) 318-8000
www.tenpennypgh.com

Ten Penny opened in late 2013 and really made a name for itself in 2014. It boasts a gorgeous wine, liquor and port list. The menu is also broken up into pairings, so if you're fairly new to the concept of matching your spirit to complement your food, the menu (or friendly waitstaff) can do this for you. Check out Ten Penny for its exceptional happy hour, too, which is Monday through Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 to 11 p.m. During this time, $5 will get you a frosty draft, wine or well cocktail, and a dollar more will buy you a delicious ginger beer cocktail.
