Pittsburgh's appreciation for performance art extends well beyond ballets and plays at the Benedum Center in the city's Cultural District to its music scene that encompasses a variety of styles and musicians. From national pop stars to local country celebs, there's a concert for every genre of music lovers making their way to the area over the next few months. Here are five of the must-see concerts coming to Pittsburgh in 2013.

The Philadelphia-based trio G. Love & Special Sauce is bringing its chill tunes to Pittsburgh's for a Friday evening concert at Stage AE. Its unique sound blends blues and hip-hop for the perfect way to unwind after the holiday season chaos. Joining G. Love & Special Sauce on its East Coast tour is New York City indie-folk band Swear and Shake. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.

After rescheduling its planned Oct. 27 concert, local country crooners The Hillbilly Way return to Burgettstown's Pepsi Cola Roadhouse Jan. 19 for a 7:30 p.m. show. Despite the new name, fans of the band formerly known as the Povertyneck Hillbillies may expect to hear the same rocking country songs from the Povertyneck Hillbillies days as well as more recent hits including "My Kinda Sunday," which can be heard on Pittsburgh's local country stations. While this show is a non-dinner performance, beverages and food will be available for purchase. American folk rockers The Lumineers are ready to rock downtown's Stage AE for a Feb. 8 show. Hear live performances of the band's biggest singles, including "Ho Hey" and "Stubborn Love." The Lumineers will be joined by fellow rockers Coheed and Cambria, which will perform songs from its soon-to-be-released album "The Afterman: Descension." If you have a tween girl in your life, know that she'll be begging you for a ticket to One Direction's 2013 tour, which makes its stop at Pittsburgh's CONSOL Energy Center July 8. Additional North American concert dates were recently added due to high demand to see London's most adorable singers Liam, Harry, Louis, Niall and Zayn. Undoubtedly the hottest boy band of the past year, One Direction will perform its biggest hits from its studio albums "Up All Night" and November release "Take Me Home," including "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Live While We're Young."
