Shadow Lounge has been helping keep Pittsburghers entertained for over 11 years. This venue boasts a full bar and not only offers live musical acts, but also movie screenings and parties, as well. The Shadow Lounge has a full events schedule, featuring musical acts of all types and genres. For Latin music lovers, Corazón with Guaracha Latin Dance Band is scheduled to perform every Wednesday. Keeping with the holy theme, this restaurant, lounge, nightclub combo was also once a church. After renovating and converting the 100-year-old church into Cefalo's, owners Leonard and Kathleen Cefalo turned their restaurant vision into reality. Cefalo's is now a retro 1940s-style nightclub, offering Pittsburgh a variety of bands and entertainers of all types and genres. The venue has that perfect lounge atmosphere, bringing to mind the old supper clubs from days gone by. With a large dance floor and lounge-style seating on the first floor, it's a great place to enjoy live Latin music and a relaxing evening out with friends or a special someone. Cefalo's also offers its patrons a full service fine dining restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights, an exclusive VIP Loft, and can also be booked for private events, weddings and parties.

The Backstage Bar at Theater Square has become increasingly popular over the years, especially with the theater crowd.  Open before and after the shows in the Cultural District Downtown, The Backstage Bar is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink before or after taking in a show.  However, The Backstage Bar has become a venue in its own right and offers live entertainment as well. Scheduled in May is the Latin Jazz fusion quintet Salsamba, and the Brazillian singer Kenia. Through May 25, The Backstage Bar will be offering "Salsa Fridays," with free dance lessons from 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Latin music enthusiasts will find a DJ spinning the best Latin music until 1:30 a.m. There is never a cover charge at The Backstage Bar, and with summer arriving, dancers can cool off the patio to soak in some fresh air between sets.
