There are many restaurants out there that don’t welcome lovable furry friends. But several places around the Pittsburgh area offer great food and pet-friendly environments. Here’s a look at some picks from the experts at Animal Friends and the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society!

Doublewide Grill

2339 East Carson Street
Pittsburgh, PA 15203

A big outdoor patio area makes the popular Doublewide Grill on Pittsburgh’s South Side a pet-friendly eatery. The restaurant is also known to host special pancake breakfast fundraisers for animal welfare organizations.

The Hop House

2749 Noblestown Road
Pittsburgh, PA 15205

The Hop House’s South Hills location makes our list because of their “Barks & Brews” event. It’s Happy Hour with your dog! Best of all, the proceeds go to benefit Animal Friends.

The Wine Loft

2773 Tunnel Boulevard
Pittsburgh, PA 15203

The Wine Loft on Pittsburgh’s South Side is a trendy spot with “posh, soothing surroundings” and best of all – an outdoor dining area. That’s what makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine and a relaxing meal with both friends and furry friends!

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream

More Than 15 Local Locations

Bruster’s has plenty of cool treats to nourish your sweet spot. But the ice cream stop makes our list because it’s a place where you and your pooch can spend some quality time over dessert! So, stop by for your favorite flavor and get your dog some too. Bruster’s offers free ice cream cones to dogs!
