Rain or shine, the Glen Greek Tennis Club can accommodate participants with six indoor courts and four outdoor courts. Courts are open tor membership for free or non-members for a $10.00 guest fee. Make sure to check for reservations when booking the court. The indoor courts are regulated with a comfortable temperature and the outdoor courts have a regulation tennis surface. The teaching staff is highly qualified for lessons and challenges all types of ability levels in a fun atmosphere. The six tennis courts, which are made of clay, are under the control of Citiparks Tennis Program and the location within Frick Park offers a wide variety of vitality and activity for all family members. The historic courts offer a chance to experience the feeling of playing tennis similar to Wimbledon, and that means there are lessons and leagues available to set the tone for improvement and fun. There are free clinics for both adult and children with skills from the beginner to advanced. Don't fret if you don't have a racquet or reservation for the beginner clinics, as the racquets will be provided along with the opportunity for a walk-in participant. Certified instructors will guide the participants with the rules, equipment and techniques of the clay surface, which are different from Har-Tru, or concrete-like, surfaces. Call for reservations.

The Mellon Park Tennis Tennis Center, known as the "bubble," welcomes players of all abilities to learn the game or use the learned skills to engage in tournament play. The tennis center is open the entire year, and the indoor facility has enough courts to handle classes from tots to seniors and beginner to advanced levels. The state-of-the -art playing surface is open to part or full-time play at each participant's schedule. Check for clinics and lessons throughout the year for times, dates and prices, which is handled by certified teachers. This is under the auspices of the Citiparks Tennis Program, which also offers a summer camp tennis program.

If looking for an abundance of tennis courts to hone your game or join a league, then the Schenley Oval is well-equipped with 13 courts and some of those have lights for night time play. The Sportsplex has a great warm up area with a walking track that will get you in shape for intense tennis activity. Tennis Round offers an opportunity for players to contact potential players to play against. All it takes is a fee of $4.99 a month, and you are matched with others who have the same skill level. Highland Park is part of the Citiparks Tennis program and it's one of the most active in community programming, location and condition of the tennis courts. There are seven outdoor courts on Stanton Ave., which is located on the lower entrances of the park and two other courts in the park on Bunker Hill. The Tennis Club is part of the prestigious Tennis Association and that makes for a valuable outlet for tennis enthusiasts to learn the game, join leagues and get involved with the summer tennis camps. Highland Park offers recreational activities for the entire family.
