Between football and hockey games, it may seem like sports reign supreme in the city during the fall and winter season, but if you know where to look, you can engulf yourself in the arts and culture that are also synonymous with Pittsburgh. If you loved the spring art festivals and events in Pittsburgh, you won't want to miss out on the limited time winter art events happening this season throughout the city. From local artists presenting beautiful glass works and paintings to historical looks at some of the biggest names in art history, there's something for every art aficionado. Here is a preview of the best winter 2014-15 art events in Pittsburgh.

Fans of Andy Warhol's art will appreciate a deeper look into the Andy Warhol Museum's exclusive exhibition focused on one of Warhol's most controversial works. The exhibition titled "13 Most Wanted Men: Andy Warhol and the 1964 World's Fair" presents an examination of the censorship and artistic creation of Warhol's enlarged mug shots of 13 of the most wanted criminals of 1962. Find this exhibition recurring daily in the second floor galleries of the museum. Admission to this particular gallery is included with admission to the Andy Warhol Museum.

Pittsburgh is a city known for its steel and glass contributions, but none is quite as breathtaking as the glass art exhibition featured at the Pittsburgh Glass Center called "Emerge/Evolve." Presented by the Pittsburgh Glass Center, this kiln-glass exhibit highlights beautiful works from local emerging artists as well as select pieces from "Emerge 2014" by Bullseye Glass Company. "Emerge/Evolve" will run daily through January 18, 2015. Admission is free.

If you like to support the region's local artists, you won't want to miss out on the latest exhibit to arrive at Gallery on 43rd Street. Indiana, Pennsylvania's own Jonelle Summerfield's "New Work" exhibit will only be displayed through the end of the year so don't delay on checking out her newest oil paintings inspired by her most recent travels to Europe. Experience the beauty of Europe through Summerfield's painting of sidewalk cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and bustling streets as well as a variety of still lifes and cats. Gallery on 43rd Street is located in the city's North Shore area.

The Frick Art Museum will proudly present the stunning works of French-trained American artists Charles Courtney Curran through February 1, 2015. This highly-anticipated exhibition is organized by the Dixon Gallery & Gardens, Memphis and gives audiences a lovely look at 60 of Curran's most notable paintings that feature women in gardens and outdoors as well as American landscapes, including those of Lake Erie. "Charles Courtney Curran: Seeking the Ideal" will be particularly appealing to American collectors. Admission to "Charles Courtney Curran: Seeking the Ideal" and The Frick Art Museum is free. This event is presented by Frick Art & Historical Center.
