It may feel a bit early to think about sitting down for a meal with that jolly old elf, but if breakfast or lunch with Santa is something your child doesn't want to miss out on this year, you'll want to make sure to register early to ensure his or her spot on Santa's busy list! Christmas, is of course, his busiest time of year – so Santa will only be available at the zoo on December 11th & 12th and December 18th & 19th! Registration begins at 9am on Wednesday, November 3rd.
Yellowbook Polar Bear Birthday Party

Come for their polar party, stay to celebrate conservation! On Saturday, November 13th, the zoo will host the Yellowbook Polar Bear Birthday Party from 11am until 3pm. Sure to be an "Arctic blast," kids will get to sing happy birthday to the party animals, make crafts and learn how to help polar bears. They'll even get to watch the bears get a birthday treat – and get a frozen treat of their own! Admission to the party is free with zoo admission.

While you're at the zoo for the polar bear birthday party, stay and celebrate polar bear conservation. This educational program, which is suitable for kids aged 8 and up, will look at the threats polar bears face – and look at the efforts that experts are taking to help save these animals from extinction. Before you celebrate Thanksgiving with your family, celebrate with the animals at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. On Saturday, November 20th, the zoo will host a "Town Planner Animal Thanksgiving." Visitors will even get to watch as their favorite animals get special Thanksgiving treats.

Santa's a popular guy – particularly at this time of the year; but he's taking the time to sit down for a meal with some local kids at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for two weekends in December! Kids will have the chance to enjoy some great food with the big guy, decorate their own Christmas cookie, make a holiday craft – and even meet some of Santa's favorite zoo animals! Seats are limited, so pre-registration (which begins November 3rd) is a must!

The zoo may be closed on New Year's Day, but you can still help ring in the New Year with the animals (just 12 hours before the ball drops in Times Square)! Radio Disney will provide live entertainment for all the party animals leading up to the noon ball drop! Guests can even sign the reZOOlution banner with all the changes they're planning to make in 2011!
