The illustrious Ladies Night. Songs have been written about them. Legends, I am sure, have been told. Whether or not you are celebrating a new promotion, or a break-up, or just feel like getting rowdy, Pittsburgh offers the best in lady-friendly activities. (Sorry, boys!)
One of the greatest things about this city is its plethora of boutique spas and salons outfitted with estheticians of the utmost skill and passion. Evolve Wellness Spa on Highland Avenue is a newly-remodeled relaxation destination, whose owners and staff have a real enthusiasm for your well-being. Offering spa-services such as organic and seasonal facials, massage, and waxing; as well as counseling, lifestyle workshops, and acupuncture. Plan a quiet day out with your girls, and can truly spoil your mind, body, and soul.
Looking for an activity that’s a little more, well, active? Fitness with a Twist is Pittsburgh’s favorite party with a purpose. And they don’t just offer traditional pole dancing classes. They also offer Belly-Dancing and Burlesque 101. But, do not be fooled by the potential novelty of a pole dancing class. These ladies mean serious fitness business. You will be sore the next day. And you will have the time of your life! Plan a private party, or drop in to one of their regularly scheduled classes. This is an experience not to be missed by any of your friends.
If you want a swanky night out on the town, Elixir offers the essentials in service, menu, and entertainment. What you are going to love most about it is its chic décor and multiple levels. Settle downstairs on its plush upholstery for cocktails and mingling. Head on upstairs for exclusive bottle service and dancing with your girlfriends. Also offering a late Happy Hour Fridays, and valet on weekends.
Do you need to just cut to the chase, and get to the club? Whim is what you are looking for. VIP sections with bottle service (so that you don’t have to mingle with the dudes), great drink specials, and the best dance floor in the city. Friday nights are Ladies Night and you get in free before midnight!
Not feeling so great the next morning and need to get to brunch ASAP? Paris 66 has been voted Pittsburgh’s best French cuisine by Pittsburgh Magazine. Its Sunday brunch menu is not to be reckoned with and offers your classic egg dishes with a French twist, as well as some of the best crepes in the city. Go with the Paris 66 Crepe, and you will forget about that last glass of champagne from the previous evening. And have I mentioned how absolutely adorable the décor is? It’s like France, but there’s a Target down the street.
