Steelers’ Clark Working To Raise Sickle Cell Awareness
The Centers for Disease Control estimates that one in 12 African Americans are living with sickle cell disease. However, funding for sickle cell research pales in comparison to cancer or other diseases. Steeler Ryan Clark, who has the sickle cell trait, talked to students about the disease and why they need to get busy raising money to fight it; KDKA's Rick Dayton reports.
