Sheriff's Office Arrests "Most Wanted" Suspect

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Officials with the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office say authorities have arrested another of the county's most wanted.

Authorities say 30-year-old Jason Russell, of Brookline, was arrested Wednesday night in connection with an outstanding warrant on simple assault charges.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Russell is accused in the beating of his girlfriend's nephew back in March. Authorities say the child was in the care of his aunt at the time and when he was returned to his parents "there was bruising throughout his midsection."

Acting on a tip, sheriff's deputies found Russell at an apartment in the 400-block of Knox Avenue. Officials say he was found "hiding in the chimney."

He was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail without bond and is awaiting arraignment.

Officials say Russell's girlfriend, Tiffany Denillo, was also arrested. She is facing charges of hindering apprehension.
