Teenager Locks Self In Bathroom During Home Invasion

NORTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A 14-year-old girl was home alone Monday when a man kicked in the door to the family's home.

The suspect didn't take anything, but gave the girl quite a scare.

Billie Guthrie was at work when she got a panicked call from her daughter who was off of school.

The girl told her mom that two guys kept knocking on the door of the family's North Union Township home and that she was scared.

A few minutes later, they began knocking on the back door of the Oliver Road home.

The girl ran into a downstairs bathroom and locked the door. As she was hiding, a suspect kicked in the door and began yelling at the family's Shepherd-husky named Toby to quit barking.

Then, the suspect kicked in the bathroom door and took off after seeing the girl.

The girl told her mother she was scared for her life.

Police don't have any suspects at this time, but are asking anyone with info to call them at the Uniontown barracks.
