4-1-Zoo: Pitt Beats Maryland Eastern Shore 97-64

PITTSBURGH -- Gilbert Brown made Pitt's loss to Tennessee a week ago seem like a distant memory as he scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Panthers to a 97-64 win against Maryland Eastern Shore Saturday.

Brown was just 5 points shy of a Petersen Events Center record for points in a game, held by Sam Young's mark of 33. Brown added 5 rebounds and 5 assists on the night.

Pitt nearly set a record for assists as well with 33 — one shy of the school record. The 33 do set a record for Pitt at the Petersen Events Center and is the most in the Jamie Dixon era.
