RMU Snaps 3-Game Losing Streak With Win Over Ohio
ATHENS, Ohio (KDKA/AP) — Robert Morris received a career-high 28 points from guard Karon Abraham to beat Ohio 79-76 in overtime.
Ohio led 34-30 at halftime, then increased the lead to, 42-30 with 15:39 remaining in second half.
Robert Morris then scored 12 straight points in the next 4:18 to tie the score at 42.
RMU was trailing by two points with 28 seconds left in regulation. However, a layup from Russell Johnson with 15 seconds to go and a missed 3-pointer from Ohio's Nick Kellogg forced overtime.
Johnson finished the game with 13 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
In overtime, the Colonials took a one-point lead with three seconds left. Gary Wallace secured the three-point win by making two free throws.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Colonials, who resume Northeast Conference action at Wagner on Thursday.
