Madison Was 'The Standard' On Sunday

Pittsburgh (93-7 The Fan) - Pittsburgh Steelers CB and special teams ace Anthony Madison talked about his opportunity to play in the season finale against Cleveland. He was really excited to get the opportunity and to get his first career interception.

Heading into the game, he knew what coach Mike Tomlin and Dick LeBeau were expecting from him. He quoted the familiar Tomlinism, "Standard is the Standard."

As a backup and special teams player, Madison talks about the mentality and physical preparation he goes through to sit on the sideline and be ready for when his number is called. He says the coaches prepare them at practice by rotating them in with the starters.

Madison was given his shot by former Steelers coach Bill Cowher and said he hopes Cowher does get back into coaching because he is good for game. He thinks Cowher is probably a better coach than a TV commentator predicting winners and losers each week on The NFL Today on CBS.
