Store Clerk Shot During Robbery In Hill District
HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) -- A store clerk is expected to recover after being shot in Pittsburgh's Hill District.
The shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lucy's Mini Mart on Herron Avenue.
According to police, three young men – most likely teenagers – walked into the store. One of them pulled out a gun and demanded cash.
There was a struggle of some sort between the suspects and the clerk. The gun went off and a bullet hit the clerk in the face.
After being shot, the clerk ran to his car and drove himself to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
His injuries are not life-threatening.
Meantime, police are looking for three teenage suspects.
