Steelers' Keisel Headed To Pro Bowl

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel is heading to Hawaii later this month for his very first appearance in the Pro Bowl.

He was added to the roster of the AFC team Saturday.

Keisel will replace Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney, who will miss the game with an injury. Keisel had been a first alternate.

The defensive end finished the season with three sacks and an interception, which he returned 79 yards for a touchdown during the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He missed six games this season with a hamstring injury.

Keisel joins three Steelers teammates - linebacker James Harrison, safety Troy Polamalu and center Maurkice Pouncey – who were all named to the AFC team last month.

The Pro Bowl is set to be played on Sunday, Jan. 30 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
