Malkin Out Against New Jersey

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Penguins will likely be without two of their superstar centers when they take on the New Jersey Devils Thursday night.

Head coach Dan Bylsma announced after the team's practice on Wednesday at the CONSOL Energy Center, that Evgeni Malkin will not make the trip.

Malkin has suffered an undisclosed injury and will be forced to watch the game from afar tomorrow night.

The Penguins are already skating without Sidney Crosby, who has missed the last six games with a mild concussion.

The team has gone 3-2-1 over that stretch and has won three straight.

Pittsburgh has won both contests against New Jersey this season after losing all six games last season.

New Jersey has struggled all season and currently own the NHL's worst record at 13-29-3.

The Devils have won three of their last four games, with the lone loss coming in overtime against the Panthers on Saturday.
