Report: Pitt Loses Top Recruit To Penn State
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The hiring of Todd Graham as Pitt's new head football coach couldn't save them from losing a top tier recruit.
According to our news partner at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, four-star wide receiver recruit Bill Belton, from Winslow Township High School in New Jersey, has verbally committed to Penn State.
The Post-Gazette reported that Belton committed Monday night after a visit from Penn State's recruiting coordinator.
Belton was a Dave Wannstedt recruit, and he uncommitted after Wannstedt was let go as head coach.
Graham and his newly-filled coaching staff will have to work fast to have recruits commit to Pitt as national signing day is Feb. 2.
