Analyst: Experience Will Be A Factor In Super Bowl

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Sports Illustrated senior writer Tim Layden joined the FAN Morning Show to preview Super Bowl XLV in Dallas, Texas.

With the news that Maurkice Pouncey will miss the Super Bowl with a broken bone in his ankle, Layden says he thinks the loss will make a big impact on how the offensive line performs next Sunday.

Also, Layden expects playoff and Super Bowl experience will be a factor.

The Packers haven't been to a Super Bowl since the 1997 season, and the Steelers are heading to their third Super Bowl in the last six seasons.

That experience was evident when Layden visited both the Packers and Steelers locker rooms over the past couple of weeks. He said the Steelers are laid back and having fun, while the Packers are a little more business like.

Layden thinks the Packers biggest benefit will be from the relationship between defensive coordinators Dick LeBeau and Dom Capers.
