Duquesne Extends Winning Streak To 10

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - The Duquesne Dukes (15-5, 7-0 Atlantic 10) extended their winning streak to 10 games with an 82-64 win over the Dayton Flyers Sunday Night.

The Dukes were led by forward Damian Saunders, who had 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and four steals.

Three other Dukes scored in double digits to help the team remain undefeated in conference play.

Bill Clark scored 17 points, while T.J. McConnell and B.J. Monteiro each added 15.

The Dukes led at halftime by three points, but outscored the Flyers by 15 points in the second half. During the 10-game winning streak, the Dukes are winning by an average margin of 18.2 points. The smallest winning margin during the streak was 12 points.

The next five games for the Dukes will be against conference opponents with a showdown at home against Xavier on Feb. 13. Both Duquesne and Xavier are 7-0 in conference play.
