Penguins Expert Peter Taglianetti Talks With Seibel, Starkey, Miller

Former Pittsburgh Penguin Peter Taglianetti joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN for his weekly spot to discuss everything Penguins.

Peter opened things up talking about Matt Cooke's hit last night against the Blue Jackets and says that in the league right now, players are turning their back rather than protecting themselves when another player is bearing down on them and although he doesn't agree with Cooke's hit, Peter doesn't agree with the way players aren't protecting themselves.

One problem with the Cooke hit though is that the Penguins are complaining about the hits on Sidney Crosby and the concussion he suffered, and Peter said that the team shouldn't complain while they have a guy on their team making those same kind of hits.

While talking about Crosby, Peter said none of the hits on him were worthy of suspension, but the league is sending mixed messages on what they want and what they don't want when it comes to the physical play in games.

Peter also discussed the Pens play lately without their stars, and how they're going to need to learn how to win without them.
