Roenick: Pens Can Handle Injury Situation

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Former NHL All-Star Jeremy Roenick joined the FAN Morning Show to offer his thoughts on the Penguins' injury situation.

Roenick said injuries happen to any team, and thinks the Penguins can handle it.

While Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are out, Roenick thinks the team still has a strong nucleus.

He knows head coach Dan Bylsma will have them pointed in the right direction. He also said: "You can't go wrong being led by a guy like Jordan Staal."

Roenick agreed with the four-game suspension of Matt Cooke. He thinks Cooke crossed the line with his hit on Fedor Tyutin of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Also, Roenick says he suffered concussions during his career. He explains what Crosby might be going through mentally and physically as he works his way back.
