Water Service Repaired In Beaver County

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A water outage in Beaver County over the weekend has been repaired.

Thousands of people in Raccoon Township were without water for most of the day on Sunday, but it was restored around 6 a.m. Monday.

Water buffaloes were set up all day, but were shut down overnight

"We figure that late at night people should have what they need to last them overnight," said Assistant Chief Bert Failor, of the Raccoon Township Fire Department.

Authorities say they are not sure what caused the problem.

They were searching for a possible water line break, but haven't found one yet. They were also checking for a faulty valve.
