Break Sends Water Shooting Into Air In McCandless
McCANDLESS (KDKA) -- A water main break created a geyser late Sunday afternoon in McCandless.
It happened around 4 p.m. on Duncan Avenue, about a mile from the Duncan Manor shopping center, near Thompson Run Road.
Officials say about 15 homes were left without water and it took crews with West View Water Authority about an hour to get the water shut off.
Crews were working to repair the line and officials with the water company expected to have repairs completed around midnight.
Also, traffic was allowed to begin moving once again along Duncan Avenue Sunday evening.
Stay with KDKA for the latest details.
