Smoke Reported At Washinton Co. Natural Gas Well Site
MOUNT PLEASANT (KDKA) – Firefighters were called to a natural gas well drilling site in Washington County Tuesday morning for a report of smoke.
According to officials at the scene, the incident happened at the Mark West Compressor Station on Caldwell Road in Mount Pleasant around 5 a.m.
Range Resources said a worker saw smoke while inspecting a compressor and immediately called 911. There were no flames, but firefighters are standing by to make sure everything is under control.
There are no reported injuries.
