North Hills Police Impersonator Sought

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Several local police departments are investigating after they say a police impersonator has been targeting the elderly.

According to investigators, the woman poses as a police officer or FBI agent.

KDKA's Ralph Iannotti reports the woman made five stops last Friday in broad daylight, including two times in Ross Township and once in McCandless, Ohio Township and West Mifflin.

One of the elderly victims was a man. The other four were women.

Police say the woman would flash a gold badge, saying she was investigating a bank robbery and wanted to see the victim's money.

The woman would hop into their cars and in one instance, she rode to the victim's house where she got some cash.

Police say there's a possibility there could be more instances that they are not aware of.

In all five incidents, the suspect was described as a black female in her 30s with a professional appearance.
