Pittsburgh Power Beat Milwaukee Mustangs, 49-47
MILWAUKEE (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Power picked up their first win on the road and a win in their division, beating the Milwaukee Mustangs, 49-47.
Milwaukee played catch-up as the Power took the lead early. QB Kevin McCabe fired a 12-yard TD pass to Jerome Mathis in the opening minutes of the game.
The Power built a three-touchdown lead before the Mustangs made it 21-7 by the end of the first quarter.
While Pittsburgh led throughout the game, Milwaukee stayed on their heels in the second half, closing the lead to just two points.
McCabe threw a pick six in the fourth quarter. The Mustangs failed to make a two-point conversion, so the Power preserved the win by recovering an onside kick.
The Power are now 2-1.
