7-Alarm Warehouse Fire Erupts In West Aliquippa

WEST ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) -- Crews battled a large fire Saturday evening at a warehouse in Beaver County.

The blaze went to seven alarms before firefighters were able to bring it under control.

The building is located on Woodlawn Road in West Aliquippa.

Authorities say copper wiring may have started the fire.

"When we first got here, we had heavy smoke coming from every entranceway," said Chief Ed Haney, of the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department. "A lot of smoke, a lot of water damage."

There was no one inside the building at the time.

Firefighters continue to investigate.
