Man Questioned By Police Not Charged In Clairton Shooting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Three days after a Clairton police officer was shot and critically wounded, only one man is charged in the case.
A man was picked up in Mt. Oliver and originally described as the second suspect in the shooting of Officer James Kuzak; however, after several hours of questioning at county police headquarters, he was taken away in handcuffs.
The man was arrested on a bench warrant unrelated to the shooting, according to investigators.
Charges have been filed against 21-year-old Myles Hutchinson.
The wounded officer remains critical at UPMC Mercy Hospital. A candlelight vigil in Clairton is planned for 7 p.m. Friday.
