Man Dead After Shooting In Duquesne

DUQUESNE (KDKA) -- Authorities are investigating after one man was killed in a shooting overnight in Duquesne.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 43-year-old William Means of Duquesne.

According to authorities, the man was shot in the stomach around 10 p.m. Thursday on Crawford Avenue near a bar.

Police marked at least one shell casing on Crawford Avenue just outside of the Sportsman's Bar. It remains unclear if the bar played a role in the incident.

The victim was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly before midnight. An autopsy has been scheduled for later today.

No arrests have been made, but police continue to search for suspects.

Allegheny County homicide detectives are continuing the investigation.
