1 Killed In Hill District Shooting

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) –Police are investigating after one person was shot and killed in the Hill District Saturday night.

According to police, the shooting happened around 7 p.m. near Ledlie Street and Memory Lane.

Rashee Coleman, 17, was found near a wooded area with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

"We understand Mr. Coleman may have visiting some people in the Hill District [Saturday] evening. At some point, he left and went on his own toward Bedford Avenue, Ledlie Street area. A short time later, someone yelled out that there were some shots being fired in the area and that's when Mr. Coleman was found," Pittsburgh Police Commander Thomas Stangrecki said.

Coleman's brother said he had just returned home from a group home for troubled boys.

Police have not determined a motive and no arrests have been made at this time.
