Water Valve Damaged At Chartiers Valley HS

BRIDGEVILLE (KDKA) -- Crews are cleaning up after an incident at Chartiers Valley High School.

Emergency officials received the call shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chuck McCartney, public relations coordinator for the school district, tells KDKA-TV a damaged water release valve filled the tunnels underneath the school.

No water was above grade. The water was released through the drains of t he boiler room.

McCartney says there is water at the school and the district does not anticipate delays or cancellations for classes on Wednesday.
