Cheswick Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Minor
CHESWICK (KDKA) -- State Police today showed up at a home in Cheswick where they arrested a man on charges that he has sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl he first met on Facebook.
Timothy Mahronich, 25, of Fairmont Street, is facing charges including unlawful contact with a minor and aggravated indecent assault.
Investigators say the two met on Facebook and began emailing each other.
A criminal complaint filed with a District Magistrate says that Mahronich would visit the girl regularly over a two-month period, usually around 1 a.m. at her home in Pine Township. He would slip into the house, through her bedroom window and the two would have sex.
A neighbor, Suzanne Drummond, said she couldn't believe the charges because Timothy always seemed like a nice guy.
Tonight, Mahronich is in the Allegheny County Jail on $25,000 bond.
